What makes an idea buildable?

Learn how to evaluate and refine your ideas so they can be effectively built with AI.

CONCEPT~8 min

Not all ideas are created equal when it comes to AI-assisted development. A 'buildable' idea is one that is specific, scoped, and relies on established patterns rather than cutting-edge research.

When evaluating an idea, ask yourself: Can I describe this in a few simple sentences? Are there existing examples of this type of software? Does it solve a real problem for a specific user? If the answer is yes, you have a solid foundation.

If your idea is too broad (e.g., 'A social network for dogs'), break it down into the smallest testable unit (e.g., 'A single page app where users can upload a photo of their dog and rate others out of 10'). This makes it manageable for both you and the AI.
